The 52 annual ACM Awards have a lot to live up to. Heading into the show, Keith Urban leads the charge of nominees, scoring recognition for "Blue Ain't Your Color" and his genre-bending new album Ripcord, as well as a bevy of marks for himself--in Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Other leaders include Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and Florida Georgia Line, who nabbed surprise nominations for Song of the Year and Album of the Year (for their latest LP Dig Your Roots). The lineup promises to be just as star-studded.
Performers are Sam Hunt, Reba McEntire with gospel singer Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill with Tim McGraw (who will premiere their new single "Speak to a Girl"), Jason Aldean, newly-minted Grammy winner Morris with Thomas Rhett (to debut a new single called "Craving You"), Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley with Cole Swindell, Brett Eldredge, Old Dominion, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban (for "The Fighter"), Florida Georgia Line with Backstreet Boys, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town.
The presenters feature fellow country singers and various other celebrity figures. Those are: Lauren Alaina, radio personality Bobby Bones, Kane Brown, Savannah Chrisley, Todd Chrisley, Kacey Musgraves, Nancy O’Dell, Jake Owen, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, Elliott Sadler, Miss America Savvy Shields and Bubba Wallace.
The 52nd annual ACM Awards are slated for Sun. (April 2) and will air live on CBS at 8/7c.
Bryan and Bentley are set to return as co-hosts for the second time.
