I Set My Friends On Fire is an American experimental rock band from Miami, Florida. They are best known for the studio records You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter and Astral Rejection. I Set My Friends on Fire have released three albums, their latest is 2015's Caterpillar Sex. Currently the band is on an international tour.

Founded in 2007 by singer/music programmer Matt Mehana and multi-instrumentalist Nabil Moo. After gaining a fanbase via Myspace Music and performing live as a duo for a couple of years, they added third member drummer/guitarist Chris Lent. The original lineup of I Set My Friends On Fire released an EP and the album You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter in 2008 for the indie label Epitaph Records. During the recording of their sophomore release Astral Rejection, founding member Nabil Moo left the band and was replaced on the album by Andrew Tapley.

The band flirted with mainstream success when their discs charted on the U.S. Heatseekers list but failed to gain them noticed. After being dropped by Epitaph Records and the departure of drummer/guitarist Chris Lent, Matt Mehana reconfigured I Set My Friends On Fire as a solo vehicle. The current lineup features a five piece band featuring guitarists Nate Blasdell & Jonathan Rosell, bassist Joe Mosey and drummer Joshua Miller. I Set My Friends On Fire has also tweaked their sound to a more experimental/noise rock outfit, moving away from the hardcore/metalcore musical stylings from their previous studio releases.

I Set My Friends on Fire is embarking on an international tour this winter to promote their upcoming release of the self-produced third studio album Caterpillar Sex. They will be touring Scotland, England, Russia and in the following cities in the United States:
