iHeartRadio Music Awards 2019 nominees: Post Malone, Cardi B, Ariana Grande and more

Awards season is officially underway, and the accolades are about to start pouring in for music's biggest names--including from iHeartRadio.

The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Award nominees were announced on Wednesday, with rapper Cardi B dominating with 14 nominations. Fellow rapper Drake follows with eight, and Ariana Grande, Post Malone, and Maroon 5 each have five nominations of their own. The nominees make up the most-played artists and songs across the media company's radio stations and through its app, and some, including Cardi B, Ariana Grande, and Maroon 5, also won awards at last year's ceremony.

"It's no secret why this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards nominees are a Who's Who of music," President of iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises, John Sykes, said in a press release. "These are the artists and the songs iHeartRadio listeners couldn't get enough of this past year. It's going to be an unforgettable show."

Fans will be able to decide some of the winners in such categories as Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video, and more, including some newly introduced ones. Fans can vote on Twitter using category and nominee hashtags or online, and voting is open through March 7.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards will be held on March 14 live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on Fox at 8 p.m. Tickets for the event will go on sale Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. local time. Be sure to snag your tickets right here and so you can experience all the honors and magic firsthand.
