The Imagine Dragons are one of the most electrifying bands in the industry today and they are bringing their exciting show to Dallas in July. The Imagine Dragons Dallas show will take place on July 17, 2015, at the American Airlines Center. Tickets went on sale on February 17 and start at $29.50.
The Imagine Dragons started their career in 2008 when singer Dan Reynolds and drummer Andrew Tolman met while they were students at Brigham Young University. They added two Berklee College of Music students and Tolman’s wife Brittany to round out their lineup and started a career that kicked off in their home town of Provo, Utah. They moved to Las Vegas and released their first three EP’s.
They first achieved success when their EP, Continued Silence, peaked at 40th on the Billboard 200 charts and their single “It’s Time” peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The video was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award and the single ended up going double-platinum, making the band instant sensations. Things got even better when their next single, “Radioactive,” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, where it broke records by remaining in that spot for 23 weeks.
Thanks to that song, Imagine Dragons finished 2013 as the top band in the world for the year and Billboard named them the Breakthrough Band of 2013. Rolling Stone touted “Radioactive” as the best single of the year and MTV referred to them as the year’s biggest breakout band. After their monster tour ended at Lollapalooza, the band announced they were taking a break from touring and resting from the monster success.
By the end of 2014, Imagine Dragons were teasing their new album. They released the first single “I Bet My Life” on Facebook in October and it hit radio in November. Last month, they released the follow up single “Shots” on Spotify and iTunes and finally released their new album, Smoke and Mirrors on February 17. Their new North American tour kicks off in June in Portland, Oregon and then hits Dallas one month later.
