For fans eager to purchase the upcoming album Smoke + Mirrors from Imagine Dragons, there is some good news. The band will release four extra tracks on the deluxe album that is sold exclusively through Target.
The exclusive bonus Target tracks from the alt-rock band’s new album are “Thief,” “The Unknown,” “Second Chances” and “Release,” it was revealed via the band's website on Dec. 18, 2014. The extra tracks will be available at Target in both the U.S. and in Canada starting Feb. 17, 2015. Exclusive album cover art was also revealed for that album. The other 13 tracks on Smoke + Mirrors are “Shots,” “Gold,” “Smoke and Mirrors,” “I’m So Sorry,” “I Bet My Life,” “Polaroid,” “Friction,” “It Comes Back To You,” “Dream,” “Trouble,” “Summer,” “Hopeless Opus,” and “The Fall," bringing the track list for the exclusive album for Target up to 17 songs.
Smoke + Mirrors is the much-anticipated follow-up to the band’s 2012 Night Visions, which had singles that included the hit songs “Demons,” “Hear Me” and “Radioactive.” The album Night Visions was both a critical and commercial success as well, and even picked up a GRAMMY win for Best Rock Performance for “Radioactive” and a nomination for Record of the Year for Imagine Dragons.
Earlier this year, the Las Vegas-based quartet released the single “I Bet My Life” from the upcoming album, as well as an official music video, as previously reported on AXS.com. On Dec. 16, 2014, the band also released the single “Gold.” Tour dates in support of the album have not been announced as of press time.
The release information for the album Smoke + Mirrors hasn’t been conventional, either. Fans have been treated to scavenger hunts and pieced together clues to learn more about the upcoming album, making the upcoming release more of an experience.
