Indie rockers Whitney expand 2017 world tour

Chicago-based indie rockers Whitney have added additional dates to their already expansive world tour, which will see the band throughout North America, Europe and Japan. Whitney will also be hitting up a number of festivals including Shaky Knees, Boston Calling, Summerfest, Forcastle, FYF Festival, Newport Folk and Lollapalooza. As Consequence of Sound reported, Whitney recently released a 12-inch single containing two cover songs: Dolly Parton’s “Gonna Hurry (As Slow as I Can)” and the 1975 Lion (a Dutch synthpop duo) track “You’ve Got a Woman.” You can check out the video for the latter above. Whitney will be offering the single at their shows before it’s June 2 release on Secretly Canadian. The single comes almost a year to the day after the band’s 2016 debut album Light Upon The Lake. You can listen to Light Upon the Lake in its entirety below.
