Insomniac, the event production company behind Electric Daisy Carnival, has announced the first phase of artists and venues that will take over sin city the week leading up to EDC at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this June. Returning for its 21st year, the annual EDM event will welcome tens of thousands of music fans to dance the Las Vegas nights (and days) away throughout the week of June 12-19.
Over 40 electronic-based artists and DJs will take over the Vegas Strip to get fans loosened up with an entire week of indoor and outdoor parties. Artists including Zedd, Armin van Buuren, Illenium, Galantis, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Calvin Harris and Afrojack will all be performing throughout the week at various clubs, resorts and pool parties leading up to the flagship event on June 16-18.
The shows throughout the week will take place on and off the famous Vegas Strip at venues like the Hakkasan Nightclub at the MGM Grand, The Joint at the Hard Rock, TAO Nightclub at The Venetian and Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan to name just a few. Additional events will be announced as June draws closer.
The news comes as the heart of the electronic music world begins to beat at an accelerated BPM level for Miami Music Week kicking off down in South Beach on Tuesday.
