The weigh-ins for Invicta FC 27 are in the books, and headliner Sarah Kaufman made weight (135.4) without issue. There was some drama regarding her opponent, though.

Pannie Kianzad tipped the scales at 136.7 pounds, slightly over the bantamweight non-title maximum. The MMA fight between Kianzad and Kaufman will go on as scheduled, but the former will give 25 percent of her purse to the Canadian as a fine for missing weight.

In the co-main, flyweights Vanessa Porto (125.3) and Mariana Morais (124.6) both were on the mark. Elsewhere on the bill, Sharon Jacobson (115.7) and Ashley Nichols (115.3) made weight for their strawweight fight.

Perhaps the biggest story to emerge from Friday's weigh-in was Ashley Cummins making weight for her atomweight clash with promotional newcomer Steph Alba. With Cummins hitting the mark at 105.6 pounds, she inches closer to Invicta's record for most fight appearances.

Invicta FC 27 marks her seventh fight for the promotion, putting her just one shy of Tonya Evinger's record of eight for most Invicta fights. In other action, Tiffany "Rainbow Renegade" Masters weighed in heavy for her 115-pound bout against Mallory Martin. Masters tipped the scales at 117.4 pounds and was fined 25 percent of her purse as punishment for missing the mark.

In the opening bout of the evening, Jade Ripley meets Helen Peralta. Both women made weight, as Ripley came in at 115.9 and Peralta was 115.6. Felicia Spencer (146) vs. Akeela Al-Hameed (144.7) completes Saturday night's Invicta FC 27 bill.

The Invicta FC 27 weigh-in took place at the historic Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Mo. Scottish Rite Temple hosts Saturday's Invicta FC 27 card, which airs live on UFC Fight Pass.
