J.I.D announces Catch Me If You Can Tour 2019

J.I.D's name has been bubbling in the streets since 2013, but it wasn't until 2017 when he released his debut studio album entitled, The Never Story, under J. Cole's Dreamville imprint, that he gained international recognition for his rapping ability. Since then, J.I.D has released another full-body album, DiCaprio 2, and has become Dreamville's second-hand man to the label's leader in J. Cole. The Atlanta, Georgia-bred rapper's artistry has taken many by surprise for his ability to fuse his conscious ideologies with the harsh realities of the struggles many patrons face in society on a daily basis.

In many ways, J.I.D's brash outspokenness and musical content have allowed him to become a leader not only for his Spillage Village and Dreamville associates but for this new wave of hip-hop newcomers as a whole. Now, that J.I.D has officially forced his way to the forefront of the culture, his voice is being heard more than ever and he's taken his talents on the road. J.I.D, who is currently on the first leg of his North American Catch Me If You Can Tour, recently took to Twitter to announce that he will be adding more dates to the tour beginning in May of this year.
