Jazz Aspen Snowmass will be holding their summer music education benefit concert at the Belly Up in Aspen, Colorado on Friday, July 21. The concert is celebrating the 50th anniversary of groundbreaking rock and soul group Sly and the Family Stone, who created such classics as “Dance to the Music,” “Everyday People,” and “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).”

Band co-founders and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Jerry Martini and Greg Errico will be playing the music of the legendary band they helped to create along with Phunne Stone, Alex Davis, Blaise Sison and Nate Wingfield. Sly and the Family Stone were integral in the evolution of soul, funk and psychedelic music.

Tickets to the event include options for a 6:00 p.m. pre-concert dinner at Casa Tua or 8:00 p.m. dessert, drink and concert tickets for Belly Up. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the JAS In Schools Initiative, which provide a wide variety of music education to over 1,500 students annually.
