The legendary Jimmy Buffett and his Coral Reefer Band are continuing his celebration of the 40th anniversary of his album Son of a Son of a Sailor with a stop at the Santa Barbara Bowl this fall.
The band will play at the venue on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Tickets go on sale right here on AXS starting Friday, April 6, at 11 a.m. local time.
The show is one of a just few scheduled for October--including a previously announced stop in Vegas--although Buffett will be performing throughout the summer. Fans can count on hearing the hit "Margaritaville," Buffett's only Top 10 hit which ultimately spawned an empire of restaurants, hotels, and, of course, frozen-margarita machines--it even helped inspire Harmony Korine's new film, The Beach Bum, which features Buffett in a cameo as himself.
"I believe that people need a lot more comedy these days," Buffett recently said to Noisey. "This movie really, really tickles the funny bone."
Naturally, Buffett's music will also be featured in The Beach Bum, including the new song "Moonfog." While you're listening, get your tickets to a show and enjoy our reasons why Buffett is a legend and five things you didn't know about him.
