For decades, Jimmy Buffett has been bringing sounds and flavors of paradise to millions across the world.

It’s hard to run into anybody who hasn’t heard of Mr. Buffett, as his name has become synonymous with easy and relaxed living. Not only has Buffett carved his name into the Mount Rushmore of music greats, but he has also become one of the few musicians to also put his stamp in the business world, with his “Margaritaville” restaurants, bars and resorts raking in even more cash so that he can continue to live in the searing sun of paradise at ease.

Buffett is the pioneer of “gulf and western," a country music subgenre that fuses the old-fashion themes of country western music with the tropical themes of the Gulf. It’s a sound that many have tried to replicate, with some artists and bands having mild success. Buffett, however, is the one artist that can do it with the flair that many come to expect from the sound, and that’s what makes Buffett such a treasure to the music world.

It’s a pretty foregone conclusion that Buffett will continue to showcase his love for the tropics for as long as he can, and at the young age of 71, he’s still out on the road with the Coral Reefer Band, bringing the best gulf and western has to offer to those unable to experience life in the sun and palm trees. Here’s his summer tour itinerary, which will include a stop in Salt Lake City to bring that slice of life in the Keys to the unimaginable beauty of the region

It’s always nice to have a cheeseburger in paradise.
