Joe Russo's Almost Dead make up for relocated Red Rocks show

While it was somewhat of a bummer that Joe Russo’s Almost Dead had to move their Red Rocks debut indoors to the 1st Bank Center due to a late April snowstorm, their sold-out arena debut was spectacular (see our photos). Plus, fans of the Grateful Dead tribute act will still have a chance to see JRAD this summer at the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band will be returning to the famed venue on Thursday, Aug. 31.

A special pre-sale gets underway Thursday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m., while general on-sales begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. MST. Follow this link for Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Red Rocks tickets on AXS.

The lineup will be a bit different for the band’s Red Rocks debut. Reportedly, Ween bassist, Drew Dreiwitz, has a previous engagement and will be filled in for by Oteil Burbridge: a Dead & Company  band member and a former Allman Brothers bassist.

The JRAD show will kick off an exciting Labor Day weekend for jamband fans as Phish returns for their perennial three-night run at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park Sept.1-3 to close out their summer tour. You can find these tickets on AXS by clicking here.
