John Mayer will bring his Search for Everything World Tour to Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Monday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist will be joined by special guest The Record Company.
John Mayer is on the road promoting his forthcoming studio long-player, The Search for Everything, set for release on April 14 via Columbia and Song Music. The album has been preceded by the singles “Love on the Weekend” and “Still Feel Like Your Man.”
It’s been sixteen years since Mayer released his debut LP and best-selling album to date, Room for Squares. The album, released in June 2001 through Aware Records and Columbia Records, reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200. Three singles were released from the album: “No Such Thing,” “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” and “Why Georgia.” The singer-songwriter earned a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the album’s second single “Your Body Is a Wonderland.”
The 39-year-old will perform sets with a full band, solo acoustic and the John Mayer Trio.
Also on the bill is The Record Company, a blues-influenced rock and roll trio based in Los Angeles, California. The critically acclaimed three-piece released its debut LP, Give It Back to You, in February 2016 through Concord Records. The album, which was nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2017, is supported by lead single “Off the Ground.” The track rose to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Songs chart. Give It Back to You also includes two additional singles: “Rita Mae Young” and “On the Move.”
Tickets, $39.50 CA through $140.00, CA, are available online. Please note: This event has been rescheduled from 7:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. All original tickets will be honored.
