Johnnyswim confirms a fall US tour

Johnnyswim recently confirmed tour dates coming up this fall in support of their upcoming album, Georgia Pond. The album will release on Big Picnic Records just before the duo is due to go on tour. The first track, “Summertime Romance,” comes off the upcoming album and was premiered on NPR Music recently. The duo has garnered much high praise and their new album’s arrival has become highly anticipated.

“Summertime Romance” is an outstanding ballad that comes off Johnnyswim’s future album Georgia Pond, and it is just one of fourteen tracks in total. The album will be released on Sept. 30, 2016 and includes two bonus tracks. Georgia Pond was produced by the duo’s very own Abner Ramirez in the couple’s home studio based out of Los Angeles. The bass and drums were later added in Nashville at the Castle. The couple also teamed up with different songwriters and collaborators including Britten Newbill, violinist and composer Anton Patzner, Natalie Hemby, Chris DeStefano and Vince Gill, to help create this latest album. One track on the album titled “Lonely Night in Georgia” features Vince Gill.

Abner Ramirez and Amanda Ramirez are the members that make up the duo known as Johnnyswim. The two met in Nashville in 2005 and started a writing partnership that quickly flourished into something more. The duo connected together both personally and musically, which eventually led to their marriage in 2009. The two moved to Los Angeles following their wedding, and have since then produced incredible music. The love the two have for one another shows up in their songs and it just has ignited their love a music that makes them absolutely incredible.

Johnnyswim has also released three EP’s, a Christmas EP, a live album, as well as a full length album in 2014. They have also performed on several televisions shows including VH1’s “You Oughta Know Concert,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” "The Late Show with David Letterman,” and many more. Aside from that they have also extensively toured, and even performed at major U.S. festivals.

Now Johnnyswim will go back on tour once again, this time starting in Seattle at Neptune Theatre on Oct. 14, 2016, followed by stops in major cities like Portland, San Francisco, and Tampa just to name a few. The tour will finish up on Nov. 18, 2016 in Boston at the Paradise Rock Club.
