Heavy Metal Gods Judas Priest released the music video for "Lightning Strikes," the first single from their forthcoming album Firepower.

The video finds Rob Halford and the boys still hellbent for leather, with heavy riffs, explosions and devil horn flashes galore. It has pretty much everything that you would expect from a Priest video included.

With the release of Firepower (co-produced by British Steel alum Tom Allom and producer Andy Sneap) expected on March 9, Priest will kick off a North America tour that will include stops in Washington, D.C., Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

In a statement, Halford discussed reuniting with Allom and working with Sneap.  "Tom Allom has got this classic metal thing," said Halford.  "And Andy is a bit more of a 'modern metal producer' but his thinking is a little bit different to Tom's. And I think to get this balance between that classic old school metal to what Andy's world is was just a remarkable coalescence."

Judas Priest kicks off his North American tour in Wilkes Barre, on March 13.
