He is nominated for the "Collaboration of the Year" American Music Award for the song “Where Are Ü Now,” which he worked on with DJ/producers Skrillex and Diplo collectively known as Jack Ü.

Rumors that Justin would appear on the show, which airs November 22, have been flying after the AMAs congratulated him on Twitter for his sold out performances at The Staples Center to celebrate the release of his new album Purpose.

Today those rumors were put to rest when the AMAs tweeted:

Purpose was released on Friday, November 13 and is already #1 on the US iTunes sales chart. He also recently dropped videos to every track on his album to join the singles “Sorry,” “I’ll Show You,” and “What Do You Mean.” With the success of his Staples Center “An Evening with Justin Bieber” the Biebs has taken the show on the road performing tonight in Chicago at Allstate Arena and tomorrow in Houston at The Toyota Center. Justin has also announced a massive word tour with a slew of U.S. dates including Denver, Phoenix, Atlanta, and New York to name a few.
