Kacey Musgraves may not be Pageant Material (as she declares on the title track of her sophomore studio album) but she's certainly worthy of headlining tours. Following the 2015 leg of her hugely successful Country & Western Revue, the singer-songwriter has extended with additional dates throughout early 2016. Kicking off Jan. 21 in Dallas, the singer is supporting her new LP, which bowed at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums scoreboard earlier this summer and shifted 55,000 copies opening week. The album, featuring her lead-in "Biscuits" and new single "Dime Store Cowgirl," follows her critically-heralded Mercury Records debut LP Same Trailer Different Park, supported by her Top 10 single "Merry Go 'Round" and follow-up tracks "Blowing Smoke" and "Keep It to Yourself."

Musgraves, quite simply, is an underdog success story, going against the grain of current mainstream country music to carve out her own audience. "Cigars and handshakes, appreciate ya but no thanks," she chides on her brash, witty "Good Ol' Boys Club" track, seemingly a barb at gatekeepers and radio executives, aimed at the latest "bro-country" trends. Stepping outside of her comfort zone, she has been a guest performer on pop superstar Katy Perry's 2014 Prismatic World Tour, as well as slots on Willie Nelson and Alison Krauss tours. Too, she's toured extensively in Texas. As a result of her genre loyalty and subsequent sales success (moving more than 500,000 copies of her debut album), she's notched numerous industry awards, such as Best Country Album at the 56th Grammy Awards and Best Country Song at the 2014 CMA Awards.
