A juggling act, Bob Marley covers, glowing cowboys, Doritos flying into the audience and smooth country ballads. No, you have not overindulged in Colorado’s finest herb (well, maybe), but you might be at a very special Kacey Musgraves show on a very special date.
Musgraves played to an enthusiastic, sold-out crowd at the historic Bluebird Theater in Denver on April 20. "Four-twenty" is observed every year as a celebration of cannabis culture, and as Colorado is one of the few states in the U.S. which has legalized pot, it holds a special significance there. Musgraves paid homage to the holiday by visiting Willie Nelson's marijuana cultivation facility earlier that day and with tongue-in-cheek commentary throughout her show.
Kacey Musgraves sat down with AXS.com to talk about Denver, playing in intimate venues, celebrating 4/20, her current tour and much more. Check out the video below to see Kacey perform.
