STAPLES Center opened on Oct. 17, 1999 and the concert will take place just one day after the venue's 20th anniversary, on Oct. 18, 2019. Over the last two decades, the iconic venue has become a hotspot for entertainment in Los Angeles, hosting some of the biggest names in music and entertainment.
"We are thrilled to have Kane Brown headline STAPLES Center as part of our 20th anniversary celebration," said Lee Zeidman, President, STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater and L.A. LIVE, in the venue's press release. "It is pretty remarkable to think that Kane was just shy of turning six years old when we opened our doors in 1999 and now he will be a huge part of us ushering in the next generation of extraordinary talent to headline our arena."
The Tennessee native has been taking the country music world by storm. His most recent music video "Good As You" has nearly 20 million views on YouTube, even though it's only been live for just over two months! Brown just won Male Video of the Year at last month's CMT Music Awards and is already a three-time American Music Award winner, including Favorite Country Male Artist. Though he only broke into the scene four years ago, Brown is already racking up accolades and millions of fans.
Last week he released his next single "Like A Rodeo." With his catchy songs and boundless stage presence, he'll keep the crowd energized, making him an excellent choice to headline a celebration for STAPLES Center's important date.
