Three-time Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson is finally following up "Heartbeat Song" from her latest album Piece by Piece with the second official single "Invincible". The song was released to radio airwaves on May 18 following the Billboard Music Awards performance and yesterday, she's released the accompanying music video.
"Invincible" is a message of strength and empowerment. Written by Sia, the song takes on bold vocals with the power Clarkson is loved for. The brand new music video is simple and perhaps low-budget, but simple enough to put the meaning of the song in the forefront with women showing their strength. Clarkson in a New York style appartment with just enough sass, boxes of light burst into females who are finding they are overcoming adversity and giving it their all.
The new single follows "Heartbeat Song" which gave Clarkson yet another Billboard No. 1 when it topped the Dance Club Play Songs chart. While only a Top 40 moderate hit, "Heartbeat" marked a new era for Clarkson with a No. 1 album and happy life.
"Invincible" was the final song recorded for Piece by Piece after Kelly Clarkson gave birth to daughter River Rose. It was presented to her by producer Jesse Shatkin who works with Sia (along with main producer Greg Kurstin) and the results end up being a second single with a message stronger than "Stronger," the song she dubs as "Stronger" on steroids.
To support the No. 1 album and the new music video for "Invincible", Clarkson will head out on tour this summer with Pentatonix.
