Kelly Clarkson teases new project with Facebook Live cover series
American Idol

After months of vocal rest, Kelly Clarkson is back and showing off her healed instrument. We last saw the pop star on the series finale of "American Idol," where she stunned with an emotional performance of “Piece by Piece.” Now, she's hinting at something new.

This week, Clarkson has treated fans to daily live performances on Facebook Live. Filmed in her living room, Clarkson kicked off the charmingly low-budget cover series with a rendition of Otis Redding’s "These Arms of Mine.”

The purpose of the videos? TBA...on Friday (June 24)! During one of the videos, Clarkson mentioned a big announcement without revealing much: "I'm excited to sing again because months ago I sounded like crap," she said. "This is the coolest announcement for me as an artist and I don't want to ruin it."

On day two (June 21), Clarkson busted out Foreigner’s "I Want To Know What Love Is” (featuring an adorable cameo by daughter River Rose) and gave an effortlessly spot-on performance of Aretha Franklin’s “Something He Can Feel" today.

"I picked these four songs because these four artists have something in common... that's my hint for today," she said.

Can you piece together Clarkson's clues? Check out the videos below and stay tuned for news on Friday's big announcement.
