Kelly Clarkson is gearing up to hit the road in support of her No. 1 album Piece by Piece. The Piece by Piece Tour kicks off on July 11 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and runs through late September. Along the way, she will stop in Clarkston, Michigan, to perform at the DTE Energy Music Theatre on July 26.

Like many big names in summer, Clarkson will visit one of greater Detroit's most loved venues for its pavilion seating and large plot for lawn seating suitable for partying with friends and seeing a good show. DTE offers a wide array of drinks, some food and if you have VIP access, the Ivy Lounge which provides drinks and food not available outside the section of the venue.

In 2013, Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 paired up for the Honda Civic Tour. Being it wasn't her show, the setlist was shortened. However, in 2012 during the Stronger Tour when she visited DTE, she nailed it out of the park and gave one of her best performances at that venue. Clarkson never missed a note and even had fun drinking.

"He knows me well," she said of the lead singer of the Fray who brought her another drink performing "Don't You Wanna Stay" together. "I am now double-fisting during a show. I might have a problem!" she joked.

That night, being in Detroit she chose Eminem "Lose Yourself" as the fan request. By that time, the drinks were kicking in making her stumble on her words before introducing the cover.

"The difference is people, when you listen to him on the radio and sing along in your car, you're a lot more badass than you actually are!" she laughs of being a fan rapping to the Detroiter's music.

The energy at DTE is usually high, feeding artists to put on excellent performances.

Tickets at DTE Energy Music Theatre for the Piece by Piece Tour went on sale today at 10 a.m. (March 14).
