Ironically just one day before Valentine's Day, Kelly Clarkson is releasing a new gut-wrenching single taken from her latest album Meaning of Life. "I Don't Think About You" was instantly a fan favorite for most when the piano-led ballad began on track 11 of the album. The announcement came from Gary Trust, co-director of the Billboard charts, via Twitter revealing the song will hit radio on Feb. 13.

"I Don't Think About You" will be serviced to Adult Top 40 according to the tweet, also known as Adult Pop Songs on the charts geared to listeners 25 years of age and older. The single will also be heard on Hot AC stations - a subgenre of Adult Contemporary that includes contemporary mainstream such as dance-pop. The impact date for the new song is Feb. 26.

"Don't Think" was produced by The Monarch as well as five other tracks on Meaning of Life and finds Clarkson stronger than ever after letting go of something toxic in her life. "When you're lost in the moment/ You can't see where you're goin'/ I didn't know who I could trust so I put all my faith in us," she sings in the opening lines. Despite being brought down, she says she'd do it all over again - "putting up with all the bulls**t" - but she's strong enough to leave. There's a silver lining to her sentiments, however. She feels freedom, pride, and loves the woman she's become. It's almost as if it's a farewell to her previous working relationships now that she's on a different label (Atlantic Records).

Being sent to Adult Top 40, Clarkson has a solid chance for another top 10 hit effectively extending her lead yet again for most top charting top 10s for a female artist. Clarkson's lead single to Life, "Love So Soft," became her 16th hit after she set the record with 2016's release of "Piece by Piece" following an emotional final performance on "American Idol." That track was re-recorded into a piano version after introducing the stripped arrangement in 2015 on tour.

In Dec. 2017, it was initially announced on "The Voice" that "Medicine" would be the second single - one of two choices Team KC had been contemplating. It is currently unknown if the track has been abandoned or if it will still serve as the Mainstream Top 40 single considering "I Don't Think About You" is going to adult radio.

Update: Jan. 29, 2018. Aben Eubanks, Clarkson's longtime guitarist, has confirmed to AXS that "Medicine" has taken a backseat as a single for the time being and "I Don't Think About You" is the current single.
