Kendrick Lamar plots The Championship Tour with SZA, ScHoolboy Q and more

Kendrick Lamar is a busy man. In 2017 the rapper released his critically acclaimed album DAMN., which received seven Grammy nominations, second only to JAY-Z’s eight. Kenny was also tapped to helm the soundtrack for Marvel’s "Black Panther" superhero flick. Most recently, Kendrick announced that he is hitting the road with a number of his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates for his Championship tour, which gets underway on May 4.

Joining Kendrick are SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR and Lance Skiiiwalker. Lamar has been also been busy recording with his labelmates. As Pitchfork pointed out, the rapper teamed up with SZA for the "Black Panther" soundtrack song “All the Stars” (listen above) as well Jay Rock for another "Black Panther" track called “Kings Dead," two songs that will surely be played on the tour. And with a bill full of labelmates who have worked together extensively, you can expect some awesome sit-ins.

Before touring North America, Kendrick hits the road across the pond in Europe this winter with support from James Blake. Click here to browse AXS for tickets to select European dates and keep it here at AXS for the latest Kendrick Lamar news.
