The Day N Night Festival wrapped up things this year with Kendrick Lamar taking to the Postmates Stage with a ninja and rhyming genius that blew the packed crowd away.

When the lights dimmed and the Mandarin narration began over the loud speakers, fans knew they were in for both a visual and auditory tour de force from the lyrical virtuoso. Things were kicked up a notch when a ninja-garbed dancer appeared on stage next to Lamar (and yes, some scratched their heads at the cultural obfuscation...but let's save that for another time). Timing things with Lamar's lyrics, the two moved on stage together in a mock battle of wills, wits and rhymes. It was a great opening and one that got the packed crowd riled up for more.

Lamar didn't hold back. Seeing him rap with speed, accuracy, determination and fervor was truly a sight to behold. The passion this artist instills in his craft is awe-inspiring. Truly, he was the highlight of an already packed lineup of up and comers as well as a number of artists who have already arrived. From Chance the Rapper to Khalid and Post Malone, the second year of the Day N Night Festival was well worth it.

After this year's festival and the marked improvements made from the inaugural show a year ago, fans are eager to see where Day N Night Festival goes next and who they bring to the stage for the people of Southern California to enjoy.
