Denver is about 1,000 miles from the nearest ocean, but this summer music fans in the Mile High City will have the chance to see some of the biggest names in Yacht Rock at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre.
Kenny Loggins, Peter Cetera and Christopher Cross are teaming up with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra for Yacht Rock on the Green on June 24. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, March 3 on AXS.com, with presale kicking off the day before.
For fans of smooth, sophisticated ‘80s rock, this should be one of the best shows of the year. Following a successful partnership with Jim Messina, Kenny Loggins gained even greater fame for his iconic contributions to soundtracks like “Footloose” and “Top Gun.” Peter Cetera had a number of solo hits (including his own soundtrack contribution, “The Glory of Love”) after leaving Chicago in 1985. And Christopher Cross won five Grammys in 1980, including Best New Artist, as well as an Oscar the following year for “Arthur’s Theme (Best You Can Do).”
Throw in the expert musicians in the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and it should be a night of smooth sailing at Fiddler’s Green on June 24. Click this link to get your tickets to the show and listen to some of the biggest hits by each of the artists in the videos below.
