Last year, it was revealed that Killswitch Engage and Hatebreed were slated to embark on a mini-tour through the Northeast. Unfortunately, Killswitch Engage revealed yesterday they have to bow out of the tour due to Jesse Leach needing surgery on his vocal chords. Killswitch Engage will be postponing their headlining performances and festival appearances in order for the vocalist to fully rest up. Fortunately, Hatebreed, Candiria, and The Word Alive will continue on with these shows as planned.

Refunds for the Killswitch Engage headlining shows will be given at the point of purchase. Tickets for the Hatebreed headlining shows are on sale right now to the general public. Killswitch Engage will come back to these cities in the near future. The band are currently working on their eight studio album, which is slated to be released before the year is over. Former Killswitch Engage frontman Howard Jones is set to appear on this record. This will be the follow up to their 2016 album Incarnate, which debuted at number six on the Billboard Top 200 with 33,000 albums sold.

Hatebreed are still promoting their 2016 studio album The Concrete Confessional, which peaked at number two on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart and number three on the Top Rock Albums chart. The group will also be busy with a few dates on the Vans Warped Tour. Candiria, who are playing the Starland Ballroom gig, are plugging their 2016 studio album While They Were Sleeping. The band are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Process of Self-Development with a collector's edition of the 13 track release.

The Word Alive, who are playing the Agora Theatre show, will be releasing their fifth studio album Violent Noise on May 4. This will be the band's first studio album without bassist Daniel Shapiro and drummer Luke Holland.
