King Crimson fans rejoice! The British prog-rock pioneers will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a huge world tour, which includes dates in the U.K., Europe and North America.

Spin reports on Jan. 13 that the hugely influential band celebrated its birthday on Sunday, which began at a rehearsal in a London basement on Jan. 13, 1969. Along with news of the 50th-anniversary romp, the multi-platinum sellers have also announced details of a massive reissue series, as well as an upcoming documentary to be released later in the year.

The trek has been dubbed “King Crimson: Celebrating 50 Years” and will take the party on the road from early June through late September. Led by founding member Robert Fripp, the current eight-piece line will perform a total of 50 dates, which will include a combination of festival appearances and headline shows.

The first string of dates has been announced with the 50th-anniversary romp currently scheduled to be launched with a two-night stand from June 12 – June 13 in Frankfurt, Germany, at Jahrhunderthalle. Major stops include a hometown three-night stand from June 18 – June 20 in London at Royal Albert Hall, as well as stop Sept. 3 in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre, before wrapping up Sept. 21 in New York at Radio City Music Hall.
