The LA Galaxy are in the process of helping raise funds for the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. With a donation of $10 to the hospital, the public can enter for a chance to play footgolf with Galaxy attacking midfielder Giovani dos Santos at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The lucky winner will also have a chance to enjoy some of the other resort's amenities, stay at the resort from Aug. 11-14 and be given two tickets to see the Galaxy play New York City FC on Aug. 12.

In addition to the draw, the LA Galaxy Foundation announced it will donate $500,000 to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Sports Medicine Program. The donations, which will benefit the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Orthopaedic Center, will occur over a five-year period.

In footgolf, participants try to kick a ball into a cup. The cup is significantly larger in footgolf than it is in regular golf. Footgolf is popular in Belgium, the Netherlands, Argentina and Hungary, and starting to generate momentum in the United States.

dos Santos meanwhile is from Mexico City, Mexico. In nine games this season, he has three goals and one assist.

The Galaxy meanwhile are coming a big 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls this past Sunday. dos Santos helped put the Galaxy up 3-0 on a penalty kick in the ninth minute after Romain Alessandrini scored twice for the Galaxy in the opening nine minutes.

The Galaxy's next game is Sunday in Minnesota against Minnesota United FC. The game can be seen on ESPN at 2 p.m. PT. The next Galaxy home game is Sat. June 17 against the Houston Dynamo. Get tickets to upcoming Galaxy home games by clicking here.
