The LA Galaxy II has announced significant upgrades for their 2018 United Soccer League season. The Stub Hub Center Track and Field Stadium will have a seating capacity of 2500 more after bleachers were installed at the east side of the stadium.
With the increase in seating, there is now a capacity of 5,000 people at the Stub Hub Center Track and Field Stadium. The seat installations were fully completed this past Friday.
The decision by the LA Galaxy II to increase their capacity now gives spectators more choice and selection of where to watch exciting United Soccer League action. Interest in the Galaxy II is on the rise as team attendance numbers have increased every year since the Galaxy II joined the United Soccer League in 2014.
The Galaxy II meanwhile are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Orange County SC on Saturday. There is significant interest in the Galaxy II home game against Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday. That is because Phoenix Rising FC's star player and owner is 40 year-old Didier Drogba, who in his prime starred for the Ivory Coast National Team and Chelsea in the English Premier League.
There will also be two special promotions at the Galaxy II game against Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday. The first 500 fans will receive a Los Dos t-shirt and wine will be offered for $3 courtesy of Barefoot Wine.
