People will have an opportunity to skate at three different outdoor rinks in southern California during the holiday season. Throughout the month of November, there will be special opening day events at each venue which will be attended by the L.A. Kings Ice Crew.

The events are supported by the Los Angeles Kings. The first special opening day event will take place at L.A. Live on Nov. 10. The rink will open at 5 p.m. and the Kings mascot Bailey will be in attendance. There will also be a special L.A. Kings fan fest prior to their game against the Calgary Flames at the Staples Center (Tickets), and ESPN Deportes will have a live radio broadcast there from 5-7 p.m. L.A. Live is located at 800 Olympic W. Blvd.

On Nov. 16, there will be a special opening day event at Pike Outlets. The rink opens at 6:30 p.m. with a celebration starting at 6 p.m. featuring a special tree lighting event and Santa Claus. The TeamLA merchandise truck will also be there from 8 to 10:30 p.m and ESPN Deportes will do a live radio broadcast there from 6-8 p.m. The Pike Outlets is located at 95 South Pine Avenue in Long Beach, CA.

On Nov. 17, there will be a special opening day event at Westfield Topanga. The rink will open at 4 p.m. and former Kings play-by-play broadcasting legend Bob Miller will be in attendance. ESPN Deportes will also be there doing a live radio broadcast. Westfield Topanga is located at 6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd.

The Kings game against the Flames on Nov. 10 should be an interesting one. The Flames currently lead the Pacific Division with 17 points and are coming off an outstanding comeback. On Nov. 1, the Flames were trailing 4-1 to the Colorado Avalanche and then scored five unanswered goals in the third period en route to an impressive 6-5 victory.
