The Los Angeles Kings will celebrate Chinese New Year on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Staples Center when they host the Edmonton Oilers in a Pacific Division matchup. The Kings will have a Chinese Heritage Night presented by O.R.G. Packaging.

Kings fans will get to see the reigning Hart Trophy and Art Ross Trophy winner in Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid. The fastest player in the National Hockey League today, McDavid led the NHL in assists (70) and points (100) in 2016-17. So far in 2017-18, McDavid is 13th in scoring with 54 points. Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning leads the NHL with 64 points.

Even though the Oilers have the most electric superstar in the game, they have been struggling mightily this season and completely underachieved. Picked by The Hockey News to meet the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2018 Stanley Cup Final, the Oilers are 12 points back of the Anaheim Ducks for the final playoff spot in the Pacific Division.

The Kings meanwhile have more details regarding their promotion Feb. 3 against the Arizona Coyotes (tickets). Fans have a chance to win four tickets, a Kings team signed hockey stick and a warm up jersey with the Kings and Los Angeles Dodgers logo on it. To enter, please click here.
