The Los Angeles Kings will have Tanner Pearson bobblehead night on March 17 against the New Jersey Devils at the Staples Center. The Pearson figurine will be dressed all green with a Leprechaun hat and holding a green stick to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
Pearson, a left winger, has played in 68 games for the Kings this season. He has 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points. Pearson is a +5 with 23 penalty minutes, five power play points, four game winning goals, 151 shots on goal, 32 faceoff wins, 92 hits, 28 blocked shots, with 21 takeaways and 35 giveaways.
The fact that Pearson has taken a career high 66 faceoff draws this season adds to his versatility as a valuable Kings forward. He has also tied his career high in assists.
The Kings opponent on Saturday will be the surprising New Jersey Devils, who have gone from having the worst record in the Eastern Conference with 70 points in 2017-18 to 78 points in only 69 games in 2017-18. New Jersey is currently battling the Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers for the final two playoff spots in the East. They have 78 points, the Blue Jackets have 77 points and the Panthers have 75 points.
