Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott joyously announced that she is expecting twins on an Instagram post on Sept. 8. Hillary wrote “God has answered our family’s countless prayers! Our family is growing … Chris, Eisele, and I wanted to share our DOUBLE portion of joy with you all!”
Hillary and Chris Tyrell have a four-year old daughter Eisele, who was excited to learn there will be two babies in the family. The twins are expected to be born in February.
The “You Look Good” singer was open about her heartbreak when she suffered a miscarriage two years ago. She referred to that heartbreak in the post, saying, “My heart still grieves for our loss and all who are struggling with pregnancy and infant loss and infertility. God hears every prayer and I will continue to share our story.”
Hillary called the expected twins a miracle because there is no family history of twins in the family. She stated that the conception is natural, meaning that it is not the result of fertility treatments, which can result in multiple births.
The twins will not be the only new arrivals in the Lady Antebellum family. Scott’s bandmate Dave Hayward and his wife have announced that they are expecting a baby in December, according to an Instagram post calling the new arrivals #BabyBellum round 2.
Lady Antebellum will be among the performers on the 11th Annual ACM Honors, which will be broadcast on CBS on Sept. 15. The two-hour musical special will feature some of the biggest superstars in country music.
