The 25-year-old makes his hotly-anticipated promotional debut on Jan. 19 at Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Az., as he takes on "Magic" Mike Hamel (5-1) in a high-stakes 145-pound battle. Whoever reigns supreme in this one will be on the short list to challenge for LFA's featherweight strap at some point in 2018.
Here's the intriguing part of the equation: "LFA 31" is expected to be headlined with a featherweight title fight pitting Bobby Moffett against Thanh Le. With that being the case, Moore and Hamel have a great opportunity to impress, and then sit cage-side to scout their possible next opponent.
Moore and Hamel have a chance to cement themselves as next in line to face the winner of Moffett vs. Le. This is a scrap that will have serious fireworks, as both men have a lot at stake -- along with ridiculous knockout power and a knack for finishing fights quickly.
Moore, a former high school wrestling standout, won all three of his pro fights by technical knockout.Only one of his three opponents in the pro ranks managed to make it out of the first round with him.
In his last start, he finished Nathan Feitosa via doctor stoppage in the second frame of action. As for "Magic" Mike, he's looking to bounce back from a knockout loss in his "LFA" debut earlier this year. The Arizona native won three of his five pro fights by way of knockout, proving his striking is among the elite at featherweight.
The X-factor in this one could be Moore's height and reach advantage, as he stands close to four inches taller than his opponent. "LFA 31" airs live and free on AXS TV.
