Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie have announced a new round of U.S. tour dates that will extend their first-ever tour as a duo through mid-November. The Fleetwood Mac stars will continue to tour in support of their self-titled debut studio album, which hit shelves on June 9 via Atlantic Records. The fall dates follow up their hugely successful summer tour of North America, which wraps up Aug 11. at Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The 22-date fall romp kicks off Oct. 14 in San Jose, California at the City National Civic. They will then visit multiple major cities including San Diego, St. Louis and Minneapolis before wrapping up Nov. 16 in Sugar Land, Texas, at Smart Financial Centre.
In conjunction with the tour announcement, the “Go Your Own Way” hitmakers have also announced the upcoming release of a brand new single, “Lay Down for Free.” The song is the third single from the collaborative effort and will follow up “In My World” and “Red Sun.” Produced by Buckingham with the help of Mitchell Froom and Mark Needham, Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie features 10 tracks. It is available here in CD, digital and vinyl formats.
Buckingham and McVie briefly rejoined their Fleetwood Mac bandmates to headline a pair of star-studded shows in New York and Los Angeles last month. The Classic East and Classic West appearances were Mac's only scheduled dates for 2017, and Buckingham & McVie will take some well-deserved vacation time prior to hitting the road solo again in the fall with plenty of rumors flying about Fleetwood Mac reuniting for a massive world tour in 2018.
