Listen: Cutmore turns Kelly Clarkson's 'Tears' into tears of joy in remixed cut
Kelly Clarkson

Pop superstar Kelly Clarkson released a remix version of her album, Piece by Piece, on March 4. One of the standouts is U.K. DJ Cutmore's revamp of of the Sia-penned "Let Your Tears Fall."

In honor of the year anniversary of her seventh studio album, Clarkson released Piece by Piece Remixed. Most of the cuts from the record are remixed, including her singles, "Heartbeat Song" and "Invincible." The stripped version of her latest hit, the title track, that she performed on American Idol last month is also a part of the collection. DJ Cutmore got his hands on "Let Your Tears Fall," a cut that was already incredible on the original record.

Australian singer-songwriter Sia penned "Let Your Tears Fall" with pop producer Greg Kurstin. Originally, the song was an Owl City-like cut with Clarkson offering herself as a commiserating confidant. For his remix, Cutmore made the track more buoyant in sound with shades of colorful synths. "No, I won't judge you / I'mma help you through," she sings atop the EDM soundscape. Kelly's tears are a lot more joyous on this glowing and glorious remix by Cutmore.

The Cutmore Remix of "Let Your Tears Fall" is now available on iTunes and Apple Music along with the rest of Piece by Piece Remixed. The record debuted at No. 1 this week on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Kelly was recently in the upper echelons of the Hot 100 chart when her latest smash, "Piece by Piece," opened at No. 8 on the songs tally last week.
