Pop superstar Demi Lovato released her new album Tell Me You Love Me on Sept. 29. She sings the blues on standout "Lonely" featuring rap giant Lil Wayne.

For the Tell Me You Love Me album, Lovato went the R&B route and allowed more of her voice to soar across the 12-tracks. Notably, the only featured artist is Lil Wayne on "Lonely," their heart-wrenching collaboration.

"Lonely" was written by Lil Wayne and hip-hop producer DJ Mustard. The song opens on an atmospheric note as Lovato lays her heart out bear in letting an ex know how messed up they've left her. Once the chorus hits, trap-lite beats kick in and Demi unleashes her inner Christina Aguilera growl. "Now I'm f**king lonely and you didn't want me," she sings. Lil Wayne reiterates Lovato's feelings and unloads on his ex in a savage guest verse. "Gave your a** directions to my heart but your a** busted left," he spits. "Lonely" drips with heartbreak that Demi drives home in an aggressively unrestrained performance.

"Lonely" featuring Lil Wayne is now available on iTunes and Apple Music alongside Lovato's Tell Me You Love Me album. Demi is competing with new releases from Miley Cyrus and Shania Twain that dropped on the same day.
