Florence and the Machine has released their first new music of 2019, as Pitchfork reports. The UK group shared two new songs, “Haunted House and “Moderation,” which follow their 2018 album High as Hope. “Moderation” is a piano-driven, tambourine shaking rocker showing off Florence Welch’s powerful pipes and lyrical prowess while “Haunted House” is a slower, shorter number. You can listen to “Moderation” in the video above or scroll down to check out “Haunted House.”
While Florence and the Machine haven’t released any details on a new album, the YouTube video for “Haunted House” (see below) also carries the name “Moderation.” While it's strictly conjectured at this point, that may mean that a new album called "Moderation" is in the works. Along with their 2018 album High as Hope, Florence and the Machine also recorded a Spotify Singles session where they covered Tori Amos’ “Cornflake Girl.” Click on the link below to listen to the cover.
Florence and the Machine are touring in 2019, including shows at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden and London’s Hyde Park with The National, Khruangbin and more. Click here to browse AXS for tickets to select Florence and the Machine dates.
