Olly Murs returns with a new single “Moves” featuring rap superstar Snoop Dogg which will be released this Friday, Sept. 24. Murs announced the news on Twitter earlier today (Sept. 26) and posted a snippet of the song (Listen to it below).
Per Official Charts, the track was co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac and will also play during end credits on the upcoming film British spy comedy film Johnny English Strikes Again which stars Rowan Atkinson. “Moves” is expected to be the lead single from Murs’ highly-anticipated sixth studio album, though no official details of the album’s release date have been given.
Olly Murs rose to fame after being named runner-up in the sixth season of “The X Factor UK” in 2009. Since then, Murs has scored four UK No. 1 albums, with his most recent being his 2016 album 24 Hrs. 24 Hrs. spawned the singles "You Don't Know Love" and "Grow Up." His sixth album will follow it, with “Moves” being its first offering. Murs also did a year-long presenting stint alongside his friend Caroline Flack as they co-hosted season 12 of “The X Factor UK.” He’s a six-time BRIT Award nominated artist.
Snoop Dogg is making a turn toward acting as he stars in the theatrical musical “Redemption of a Dogg” along with Tamar Braxton. They are touring the show via a U.S. tour which will make a stop at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on Nov. 16 (Tickets).
