Rolling Stones fans looking ahead to the holiday season might want to put aside some coin for a soon-to-be-released 60s era archival set coming in December. The legendary British rockers have posted a live audio recording of their debut 1963 single “Come On” from the upcoming release of The Rolling Stones – On Air, which will drop in multiple formats on Dec. 1 via Universal/Polydor.

Universal's MusicVaultz reports on Oct. 10 that The Stones' live version of “Come On” was originally recorded on Oct. 26, 1963 during the band's performance on BBC Radio's “Saturday Club.” Originally written and recorded by fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Chuck Berry in 1961, the early cover just missed the top U.K.top 20 and became the “Satisfaction” hitmaker's first charting single.

The 2:04 minute video opens with some fine blues harp playing courtesy of Rolling Stones founder – the late great Brian Jones. The live version of “Come On” is superior in sound quality to the original studio mix and offers fans a rare opportunity to catch the future “World's Greatest Rock N' Roll Band” during their formative stages.

The Rolling Stones – On Air features 18-tracks in the standard edition plus an additional 14-tracks in deluxe version and features songs recorded during a variety of BBC appearances made between 1963-1965. The set is available  for preorder here in a variety of CD, digital and vinyl bundles and fans will receive a instant digital copy of “Come On” as an instant grat track with each order.

The Stones are currently in Europe wrapping up their hugely successful AEG Presents produced No Filter Tour. The fall trek will continue Oct. 12 in Solna, Sweden, at Friends Arena. For all the latest details on The Rolling Stones, click here.
