UK duo Royal Blood premiered their new song “Lights Out” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio program. The new single is taken from their long awaited sophomore album, How Did We Get so Dark? set to release Jun. 16. Shortly after the song’s premiere, the band shared the accompanying video online. The clip features the band performing in a seemingly dull room until it fills up with a watery sheen and bodies emerge in different rooms. Watch the trippy video above.
Earlier this week, the band revealed news of their second album along with a teaser trailer for the new LP.
The band also shared the album artwork and tracklist for the new record, which can be found below. The album is available for pre-order on the Royal Blood website. The pre-order comes with a free download of “Lights Out.”
Speaking about the new album, the band said in a statement the record is “way sexier, more confident sounding” than their 2014 self-titled debut. Drummer Ben Thatcher added, “We’re not turning into Keane, put it that way. We’re still bringing the rock n’ roll.”
Right now, the band doesn’t have tour dates lined up in North America, but they will make several festival appearances. They’re slated to play at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands in June and August. They will also play Japan’s Summer Sonic this summer.
