Sade, the soldier of love, is back! Last month, via social media, the songstress announced she would be ending her eight-year hiatus to record a brand new song for the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack. On Wednesday, the brand new song, titled "Flower of the Universe" was officially released to an eagerly awaiting audience. The song is classic Sade with her soft and swaying voice that lulls you into a deep and peaceful calm.
According to A Wrinkle in Time director, Ava DuVernay, Sade’s new song had such an impact on her that DuVernay ended up using several of the song's lyrics as dialogue in the film. “My creative partnership with Sade on ‘Flower of the Universe’ was so connected that I reverse engineered the usual process and used her lyrics as actual dialogue within the film,” the director said in a press statement.
