After canceling her tour last year, Selena Gomez took time off from the music scene to deal with health issues. It looks like that break is now over. Late last night the pop singer released a brand new single called "Bad Liar," and the official audio can be streamed via the video above.
It seems like fans are eager for new Selena Gomez music. Just three hours after "Bad Liar" was posted on her official VEVO YouTube channel the song was already streamed over half a million times. That's not really surprising since this is Selena Gomez's first solo single of 2017. Earlier this year she did put out another song entitled "It Ain't Me," but that was a collaboration with Kygo.
According to the press release sent out last night, "Bad Liar" was written by a whole slew of people. Seven to be exact, and one of those seven people that contributed to the song writing process was Gomez. The press release also went on to say that the song features a sample of the 1977 Talking Heads single "Psycho Killer."
The last solo single Gomez released was "Kill Em with Kindness" back in May 2016. That song is on her second and most recent studio album, Revival. No word yet on when the pop singer is planning to release a new album.
