On Nov. 23, British singer-songwriter Chloé Bodur debuted her first single “Glory.” The silky smooth track features a sultry vocal, some pleasingly funky guitar playing and hypnotic ambient-flavored production via Katy B collaborator JD Reid. Music fans who have been waiting for Norah Jones or Ingrid Michealson to release some new music will likely find satisfaction if they give “Glory” a listen.
Born in Northwest London, Bodur has been quietly building up the following in the United Kingdom on account of her insightful lyricism and talent for crafting disarming neo-soul soundscapes. After relocating to Brighton to study music at the university level, Bodur got acquainted with some local musicians and soon arranged to give her first public performance. The show obviously went well as she was signed to a contract by QM Records directly afterward.
Bodur has since played several sold-out shows in her home country and her first single has already received play on BBC Introducing and Jazz FM. Chloe is currently planning to bring her uniquely raw and compelling live shows to the United States in the near future.
“Glory” can be purchase on Nov. 26.
