Listen to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce duet on new version of 'Perfect'

Ed Sheeran has released a new version of his single "Perfect" that turns the song into a duet with fellow music superstar Beyonce. You can listen to "Perfect (Duet with Beyonce)" by playing the video above and download the new edition on iTunes.

The single marks the third collaboration between two of music's biggest stars, but it's the first one that's commercially available to music fans. Sheeran and Beyonce teamed up for two live performances back in 2015: one at the Global Citizen Festival, where Beyonce had Sheeran join her for an acoustic version of "Drunk On Love", and one at the Stevie Wonder tribute concert "Songs in the Key of Life." But the new version of "Perfect" is the best of the three, as both singers are on the top of their game and fans can hear that they genuinely enjoyed recording together.

Releasing the song on Thursday continued what has already been another phenomenal year for Ed Sheeran. He released his third studio album Divide in March, and the record went to number one on more than 20 charts around the world. That included the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and the Recording Industry Association of America certified the record as double Platinum for selling more than 900,000 units in the United States alone. It went to a jaw-dropping seven times Platinum in Sheeran's native United Kingdom, where it moved more than 2.3 million units.

The solo version of "Perfect" was released on March 3 as part of that current record, and sent to radio as the album's fourth official single on Sept. 26. It's accrued more than 174 million views on YouTube. But with the new version having already passed 1.4 million views in a day, it's possible that Ed Sheeran and Beyonce's duet could eclipse the original, while Sheeran is preparing to launch a major nationwide tour next fall that fans can get tickets to through AXS.
