Earlier this week British rock band Muse announced a new single expected to come out later this week. The wait is over. The band dropped "Thought Contagion" along with an accompanying music video. Before it was released online, the song premiered on Annie Mac's BBC Radio 1 show. The band revealed to Mac that the song was inspired by Richard Dawkins and memes. They also revealed the story told in the video, directed by Lance Drake, is a continuation of "Dig Down." Check out the video above.
Apparently, the band is currently finishing up their new album. Last year, the band shared the single "Dig Down." They released their seventh album, Drones, in 2015. The album spawned the singles "Psycho," "Dead Inside," and "Mercy."
Muse is scheduled to appear at three US festivals: Carolina Rebellion, Bottlerock, and Bonnaroo.
