Earlier this month, rap duo Rae Sremmurd released “Perplexing Pegasus,” the first single from their hotly anticipated third studio album, SremmLife 3. The Mike Will Made-It produced track covers subject matter that will be instantly recognizable percent of the group’s earlier work; the joys of the good life and how the group is the hottest act on the modern hip hop landscape. In addition, the song also features some fun references from Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, including a shout out to 1995 cult classic “Major Payne.”

Although Rae Sremmurd only released their first single in 2014, the band has found incredible success in the music industry. Their first single, “No Flex Zone,” was certified platinum by the RIAA and the album it appeared on, SremmLife, debuted at number one on Billboard’s US Top Rap Albums chart. It’s 2016 follow-up, SremmLife 2, reached number four on the Billboard 200 and its third single, “Black Beatles” sold 4 million in the US alone.
