Tim Myers has released his latest single "Mother" featuring "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, and you can listen to it now by playing the audio here. You can also stream it here and download the single on iTunes.
Myers and Phillips co-wrote "Mother," which is a sentimental new track devoted to the celebration of family, particularly mothers. It's a universal theme given a heartwarming new spin with the song, that serves as the second single from Myers' upcoming album Portraits. According to the single's press release, the full album is coming later this year, and based on this single it will be one worth looking out for. "Mother" conveys a genuine love for family without getting overly saccharine, and the pairing of Myers with Phillips is a charming collaboration between two underrated singer-songwriters.
"Mother" is the follow-up to Myers' successful 2017 single "Lover My Love", which the press release states reached the Top 5 on Billboard's Top Dance Charts. Music fans who enjoyed that single will undoubtedly warm to this one as well; though the two are about different subjects and have different sounds, their fundamental DNA is exactly the same. They're both well-written songs that have a simple, unfettered message without anything unnecessary getting in the way. Everyone can connect with the intent of "Mother," and it's a lovely song to start a relaxing weekend with. Give it a listen now by streaming here or at the links above.
